January 15, 2004
   Highlights:
-Ad hoc committee meets with member of Wisconsin Historical Society staff
-Interviews two possible architectural consultants who could help us prepare our registry nomination papers.
February 5, 2004
   Highlights:
-Town Board approves registering church with state and national registers and approves hiring a consultant to assist in the preparation of nomination papers.
-Committee selects consultant and discusses first questions to be discussed with her.
-Mike Schmudlach to do preliminary assessment of the building's needs and begin contacting possible contractors.
March 10, 2004
   Highlights:
-Miller making progress on historical register nomination
-Committee discusses working on building before submitting nomination papers
-Donation of one acre of land by Herman Anthony Family announced
July 29, 2004
Special subcommittee meeting to discuss fund raising and promotional activities.
   Highlights:
-Possible grant opportunities reviewed.
-Promotional needs discussed including a PR Calendar and offer from local artist to create an art show for the church and cemetery.
-Infomraiton Sharing Party for October discussed.
-Brat, Coke and Chips sale Labor Day weekend at Bills Food Center reviewed.
August 12, 2004
Special subcommittee meeting to discuss fund raising and promotional activities.
   Highlights:
-Rick Waldschmidt from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans discusses possible grants from his organization
-Myron places brochures around Oregon
-Program ideas discussed
-Fund Raising Activity at Bills Foods discussed, rejected.
-Possibility of forming a historical society for the Town of Rutland reviewed.  Speaker scheduled for September meeting.
-Plans made for Information Sharing program October 2 at the church and cemetery.
September 16, 2004
   Highlights:
-Tom McKay from the Wisconsin Historical Society talked with the committee about the process of becoming an affiliated local historical society.
-Matthew Slaats meets with the committee to discuss his idea of currating an art show to publicize and celebrate the Rutland Center Church and Cemetery project.
-Final Planning for the October 2 Information Sharing Session.
-Letter to be sent to the UW Dept. of Landscape Architecture suggesting our new one-acre addition become a student design project.
-Preliminary plans for publication and distribution of a progress report on our work to be included in annual Town tax bills.
October 14, 2004
   Highlights:
-Rutland Center Church accepted on the Ntional Registry of Historic Places
-Architect's report will be drafted after Jason Ekstrom and Arlan Kay meet next week
-Review of October 2nd Open House and Tour
-UW Department of Landscaping may be able to provide student who could help with our project.
-Church maintenance needs reviewed
-Preservation District possible through Dane County
-Scope of Work/Wish List from architect introduced
-Donation categories discussed to list donors to the project
